Saying goodbye to this year's cherry blossoms / Nakaraginomiti
Cherry blossoms in Kyoto bloom at different times depending on the location. If you want to enjoy the cherry blossoms in the later season, then the "Nakaraginomiti" is a good place to go. This path is located on the bank of the Kamo River, next to the Kyoto Botanical Garden. Kamigamo Shrine once stood on the site of the botanical garden. The forest of the shrine was called "Nakaraginomori" and so this path got its name. This path is open 24 hours a day, and is in a very accessible location, located right between Kitaoji Station and Kitayama Station on the subway. It's a popular spot, but perhaps because people can get there freely, it's not very crowded. Why not take the subway and take your time saying goodbye to this year's cherry blossoms at a time that suits you?
