Silence and Cherry Blossoms / Suikatenmangu Shrine

 

Suikatenmangu Shrine, located in the north of downtown Kyoto, is wonderful. 

There is no admission fee to this shrine, and you can visit it freely at any time. Despite this freedom, or perhaps because of it, this shrine has a unique atmosphere of a place where you can communicate with the primordial gods.

You can visit here by bicycle early in the morning. You can park your bicycle in the park next door and enjoy the slow pace of life.

There are many cherry blossoms in the park, and they are bright and beautiful, but the cherry blossoms at the shrine have a different atmosphere.
