Pink and Green / Matsugasaki Canal
Cherry blossoms produce new leaves after the flowers have fallen. What's more, these new leaves look like a mix of coffee and green. So it's very rare to see the pink of cherry blossoms spilling out over a carpet of green.
You can see this pink and green combination at the Matsugasaki Canal in Kyoto.
The Matsugasaki Canal is part of the canal branch that flows from Keage. That's what the waterway in the Matsugasaki area is called.
In the Matsugasaki area, the cherry blossoms stand out beautifully against the soft green that borders the waterways.
There are few tourists in this area, so you can enjoy the cherry blossoms in peace and tranquility.
